Backlog: Lawmakers holding back hundreds of bills (The Sacramento Bee)

Before adjourning the 2008 regular session on Sunday, lawmakers approved 873 bills that have yet to be acted upon by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Were this a typical year, the bills would be piling up on his desk.
